POCSO Case: Telangana Police Launch Major Action Against Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s Son

Telangana Police on Saturday issued a Look Out Circular (LoC) against Bandi Sai Bhageerath, the son of Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar, in connection with a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).Confirming the development, Special Investigating Officer and Kukatpally DCP Ritiraj stated that the action was taken as part of the ongoing investigation into the matter.

The Look Out Circular (LoC) has been issued to prevent the accused from leaving the country while the investigation remains underway.

“Efforts are underway to trace him, and teams are actively working on the case,” DCP Ritiraj said.

Meanwhile, Telangana Police carried out searches at multiple locations linked to the 23-year-old accused, including his father Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s residence in Karimnagar, a relative’s house in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills, and the homes of friends in Yousufguda and other areas.

According to the allegations, Bandi Sai Bhageerath is accused of sexually assaulting the survivor between October and December 2025. Investigators said the two had reportedly become acquainted through mutual friends in June 2025.
