Tamil Nadu News: In one of his first major decisions after taking office as Chief Minister, Vijay has directed the closure of 717 liquor outlets operated by the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation near religious places, educational institutions, and bus stands across the state.The order, which is set to be implemented within the next two weeks, targets liquor shops located close to temples, mosques, churches, schools, colleges, and major public transport areas.The newly formed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government is presenting the move as a key step towards social reform and public welfare. The administration has also reiterated its promise of building a drug-free Tamil Nadu following its landmark electoral victory.
